Impact Groups

Lead by CU members and coordinated by James, this is a time for members of all years to meet up, in smaller groups, for a time of open discussion while often reading the word in a  Bible study. This is also a wonderful time to be encouraged and equipped in God through scripture. Anyone is welcome to come along and if you are interested in coming do get into contact with us via social media or publicitylucu@gmail.com for venue details.

Date and time will be announced closer to the start of term

International Tea

International Tea is a weekly event for international students to meet and enjoy a FREE cooked meal.  This is a great way for international students to get to know one another in a lovely social environment.

Fellowship is seen throughout the Bible as something highly valued and encouraged by Christ. So lets meet together and trust that God will use this space to change hearts, even as we laugh over a warm meal.

Prayer Breakfast

Prayer is powerful and effective, so come spend a morning together praying over a free breakfast before lectures begin.  As Ephesians 6.18 explains, we should be praying on all occasions. Prayer does not only glorify God but it helps US to focus our hearts and minds on Him. We need prayer because we need God.

C.S. Lewis speaks on prayer and says, prayer “doesn’t change God. It changes me.”

CU Equip

This is our biggest meeting of the week where we spend time as the whole CU - singing, praying and hearing a message from an invited speaker.

After the meeting, there are many socials to pick from if you're still feeling up for it.  We often meet in each others homes or an external venue such as the Madison's Café for dessert.

Details every week will be posted on our Instagram and Facebook Page.

Wednesday nights are a classic student night at the O2  which means a lot of students are out drinking. Near the end of the night, a group from the CU  stand outside the O2 serving free water, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate to those leaving the club. This is a great way to practically show love on campus and to serve, just as Jesus has called us to serve by laying down our lives for others.

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Mark 10.45
